Frequently Asked Questions.

Infusion therapy is a new concept for most. We want to help you understand all of our processes and benefits. Check out the questions we hear most often about how IV therapy works. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, reach out.

IV therapy is the process of injecting sterile fluids, vitamins, minerals, and other medications directly into a vein via a pin-sized plastic straw placed with a needle. We have designed specific IV cocktails to treat a multitude of different ailments or just boost your overall health.

The process starts by creating a Hydrology profile.  It only takes a few minutes. You will answer a few simple questions about your medical history. Then you have the option of scheduling with a specific provider or just selecting a time that works for you. The provider will come to you, verify your information, and infusion can begin.

Most sessions last between 20-40 minutes once infusion begins. It all depends upon your anatomy.  The size of a vein varies from person to person and location to location (right arm vs. left hand.)  We choose the most viable and painless place to establish our IV for the comfort of our clients.

IV therapy is a medical procedure that requires specific medical licenses. At Hydrology, we hand pick the most experienced Registered Nurses and Paramedics to deliver a professional and comfortable experience. To put your mind at ease, we perform comprehensive background checks on all of our providers.

Most adults over the age of 18 are eligible for treatment. For the safety of our patients we steer away from individuals with certain disease processes like congestive heart failure and kidney failure. Not sure if this applies to you? You will fill out a quick medical questionnaire before you book your first session that will help us determine what type of treatment will work best for you.

For healthy adults, the risks are extremely minimal. As with any medical procedure, there is a very low risk of infection at the IV site, but not to worry! Our staff follows a strict set of doctor-designed protocols to reduce the risk as much as possible. Please feel free to contact us before or after treatment.

For healthy patients, most of our drips can be given as often as you like.  With a few of our products, our doctor requires a waiting period for your safety.

Any time is great, but some of the best times to schedule an infusion are:

  • When you feel like you are getting sick – boost your immune system!
  • When you are getting ready/recovering from a physically or mentally stressful event like a hard workout, an all-night study session, or that tough deadline at the office.
  • When you know your weekend is going to be crazy. Like a bachelor/bachelorette/birthday party or a vacation is on the way. We can help before and after.
  • When you feel like you are losing your glow.  We have specific infusions designed to reduce fine lines and wrinkles and bring a healthier and more even skin tone.
  • When life has got you down.  Our treatments increase your overall well-being by improving mood, mental clarity, metabolism, and energy.

Benefits vary from person to person, but on average, our infusions last around five days.

Of course you can.  The difference lies in the rate and amount that your body can absorb by normal oral intake.  When you drink water or take oral vitamins, 60-80% passes through your system unused.  Your digestive tract can’t absorb that much water or that many vitamins that quickly.  IV therapy allows for 100% immediate absorption. One session can give you days worth of water and a week worth of vitamins.

Nope. The price you see in our menu is our price.  The great state of Texas requires we charge you sales tax, but apart from that, there are no additional fees.  To avoid confusion, please make sure you fall in our coverage area prior to booking.

We do!  Contact us for group rates of four or more.
